Patricia Littlejohn


As program officer for the Sisters of Charity Foundation, Pat was instrumental in the development and leadership of the Fatherhood Initiative when it began in 1997. She was an integral part of the formation and establishment of the Center in 2002.  Under her leadership since 2005, the Center has sustained the Fatherhood Initiative, expanded the model to include innovative programming in alternatives to incarceration and access to healthcare and championed governmental policy and practice change to support responsible fatherhood.  In addition to her role as President, she is an advocate for fathers and quality fatherhood program services and is often called upon to speak about the importance of father engagement and best practices in fatherhood programs.

Richard B. Barr, MA

Vice President of Strategic and Organizational Development

Richard joined the Center in January 2011. Serving as the liaison between six fatherhood programs and the Center, Richard provides technical assistance to programs by facilitating implementation, improvements and championing success. He is a key contributor to forming state and community partnerships essential to programmatic enhancement. Richard provides extensive consultation to agencies across the state on the delivery of father-friendly services. He is a frequent speaker at conferences and meetings statewide and nationally.

Eleanor Boyd

Regional Director of Development

Eleanor Boyd joined the South Carolina Center for Fathers and Families in 2018 as the Regional Director of Development, serving Midlands Fatherhood Coalition and the Lancaster Fatherhood Project.  Boyd has served the non-profit community for more than 25 years in executive leadership, development, programs as well as public affairs and communications. While living in North Carolina, Boyd owned a private non-profit consulting practice in Durham, where she taught in the Duke University Non-Profit Management Certificate Program. Most recently, Boyd served as the Director of Philanthropy for the Dickerson Children’s Advocacy Center.

Scott Brabham

Director of Finance

Scott joined the Center in 2019 as the Director of Finance. He oversees the finance and accounting functions for the Center and statewide fatherhood organizations. He provides financial oversight, implementation and compliance. A graduate of Wofford College, Scott recently served with The Greyson Group as their assistant controller.

Kiki Dean, MA

Director of Operations

Kiki joined the Center in January 2014. Previously, she worked with the South Carolina Department of Education, Office of Adult Education. Kiki is a veteran of the Air Force, in which she served as a human resources manager. Serving as the director of operations, Kiki is responsible for internal operations and management of Center's projects. She holds a master’s degree in organizational leadership.

Gale DuBose, Esq.

Jobs Not Jail Project Director and Legal Coordinator

Gale has consulted with the Center since September 2011 and provides oversight and technical assistance for Jobs-Not-Jail and training to local program staff on child support issues. She interfaces with local programs, the Center and the child support judicial/legal community while also supporting external communications on legal and child support. Gale helped to champion major project to make pro se modification possible via the internet and lead the development of the Expungement Guide for Criminal Records for the Center.

Judy Everett

Development Manager

Judy has consulted with the Center staff since January 2011. She researches, prepares and submits local, state, and federal government and foundation grants, state and national corporate grants, and United Way grants. As grants manager she ensures that program activities are implemented in accordance with successful grant proposals, facilitates grant implementation meetings, and prepares extensive funders' reports.

Marc Himes

Program Manager

Marc supports our network of fatherhood organizations across the state and manages several projects for those organizations and the Center. He supports program growth and training for local programs, with local fatherhood programs, identifies programming and personnel issues, assists in educating external audiences, and helps coordinate and plan special Center events. Marc came to the Center at the start of 2016 after serving as student services manager at USC's Darla Moore School of Business since 2011.

Tiffany Major

Program Manager

Tiffany directs operations across the state for our Destination Fatherhood project, funded by a five-year grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Administration for Children and Families (ACF). Under Tiffany's guidance, the project helps thousands of fathers with parenting, relationship skills and economic stability, all with the goal of improving their children's well-being. A special focus of the project is the recruitment young fathers between the ages of 18 and 24 who were formerly incarcerated, aging out of foster care, and/or dropped out of high school. Tiffany came to the Center in 2016 from the Alston Wilkes Society in Columbia where she worked since 2011.

Dawn Pender, MSN, APRN-BC, FNP, CPNP

Access to Men's Healthcare Project Director and Nurse Practitioner

Dawn directs the Access to Men's Healthcare component in three program sites. She also provides health education, direct care and treatment for fatherhood participants and forms partnerships with local healthcare providers for continuation of services and treatment for program participants. She designed the Men's Health curriculum and is often called upon to provide insight on the challenges of reaching out to low-income men and addressing their unique health needs.

Joel Philp

Director of Evaluation and Quality Improvement

Joel is responsible for developing data-based decision making and evaluative inquiry agency-wide. He leads information management, data interpretation, and data use. He also conducts and disseminates research and evaluations to support continuous quality improvement and to help advance the local, state and national research base in fatherhood. Joel has over 20 years of evaluation experience in the areas of education, public health, and child welfare. He received his doctorate in psychology from the University of South Carolina and worked for 10 years as a Research Assistant Professor at the Center for Child and Family Studies in USC's College of Social Work. He most recently served as the Senior Director of Research at The Evaluation Group.

Lyn Rummage

Regional Director of Development

Lyn joined the staff in April 2018 as the Regional Director of Development for the Waccamaw and Pee Dee regions, supporting the A Father’s Place and Man 2 Man organizations. Lyn’s focus is to significantly expand awareness of and funding for these two agencies to serve more fathers, children and families. Lyn has significant non-profit leadership experience across a variety of sectors, as well as in corporate foundations, communications and public relations. Most recently, she was Director of Business Development for Heartland Hospice in Myrtle Beach and Charleston, SC.   

Julia Sibley-Jones

Regional Development Director

Julia Sibley-Jones joined the South Carolina Center for Fathers and Families staff in 2019 as the Regional Director of Development for Upstate Fatherhood Coalition, working primarily in Anderson, Greenville and Spartanburg counties.  Sibley-Jones’ focus is primarily to increase the awareness and support for our work in economic stability, healthy relationships and father engagement. She most recently served as the Endowment Administrator for Buncombe Street United Methodist Church. In total, Sibley-Jones brings more than 25 years of experience working with non-profit organizations.

K. Wayne Thornley

Director of Communications

Wayne directs communications and public relations for the Center and serves as liaison to program sites statewide. Wayne has extensive experience developing comprehensive communication strategies for public, private and non-profit organizations. Most recently, Wayne was vice president of brand marketing for EdVenture Children's Museum in Columbia, SC. Previously, he was vice president of marketing and public relations for Goodwill of Middle Georgia and the CSRA.

Tana Vanderbilt

Legal Coordinator

Tana joined the Center in March 2020 after having retired as General Counsel of the South Carolina Department of Disabilities and Special Needs. Her background has been in the field of child welfare and has worked previously with the Children’s Law Center and the South Carolina Department of Social Services. Tana will provide oversight and technical assistance for Jobs not Jail and provide ongoing technical assistance and training to local program staff on legal issues.
