The South Carolina Center for Fathers and Families (SCCFF) today released its 2025 Impact Report, showcasing a year of remarkable growth and life-changing results. As the state’s leading network of fatherhood programs, SCCFF served 3,409 fathers and positively impacted more than 3,800 children across all 46 counties. These achievements reflect the organization’s unwavering mission: to equip dads facing economic, societal, and personal challenges with the tools, support, and confidence to become outstanding fathers and build thriving families.

The numbers tell a powerful story of progress.

SCCFF achieved 192% of its SCDSS goals, generated $416,815 in new income for fathers who secured employment through the program, and facilitated $842,391 in child support payments. By helping fathers reconnect with their children and stabilize their lives, the organization also delivered $1.55 million in incarceration cost savings and an estimated $11.5 million potential contribution to the state. A new $6.25 million federal fatherhood grant from HHS, the opening of three new offices in Beaufort, Orangeburg, and Aiken, and expanded partnerships—including a major curriculum overhaul with SC ETV—further strengthened SCCFF’s statewide reach through its five affiliates and 15 hub locations.

Behind every statistic are real fathers reclaiming hope.

Robert enrolled in drug court and parenting classes at A Father’s Place. Through steady commitment, he secured stable employment and housing, passed every drug test, and graduated the program—reuniting with all his children on the same day.

Similarly, Cody Wahl, supported by the Midlands Fatherhood Coalition, fought legal battles and personal setbacks to regain temporary custody of his son from foster care. With guidance from his Intervention Specialist, Cody transformed his life and gave his family a fresh start filled with purpose.

“An involved father can truly turn the tide on countless family issues,” the report notes, echoing the generational impact celebrated by Board Chairman TJ Clayton. In his message, Clayton recalled his own father’s presence at a childhood football game and reminded readers that “when you teach your son, you teach your son’s son.”

President Karriem Edwards highlighted the organization’s resilience amid funding uncertainty, noting a 15% increase in fathers served—the third consecutive year of double-digit growth. New offerings, including universal PHQ-9 mental health screenings, flexible program timelines, Father Fellows, and community events like Father Fests, reflect SCCFF’s commitment to holistic support.

The 2025 report also spotlights forward momentum. SCCFF launched Father365.com as a comprehensive statewide resource, expanded the Ready4Life curriculum for high school boys, and began a strategic planning process to diversify funding and broaden reach into 2026 and beyond.

As families across South Carolina continue to flourish because fathers are lifted up, SCCFF’s 2025 results prove that targeted support creates ripple effects of stability, opportunity, and joy for generations. The organization extends deep gratitude to its partners, donors, and—most importantly—the fathers who place their trust in this work every day.
