Unity in the Community Festival a great success

On Saturday, June 28, the town of Lancaster drew a little bit closer together as friends and neighbors flocked to the Lancaster Fatherhood Project's Unity in the Community Festival on Main Street.

It was "a great success," according to Executive Director Tyrom Faulkner. "We had about 800-900 people throughout the day."

There were activities for kids -- face-painting, a cornhole game, and inflatables to climb on. There was popcorn, and hot dogs and other outdoor food.

The library had it's bookmobile there, and various community agencies and groups had information tables set up to let everyone know more about their programs.

Yes, it's a cliche, but it's true -- a good time was had by all.
