Jermaine Johnson joins Midlands team as intervention specialist
Angela McDuffie, executive director of Midlands Fatherhood Coalition, has announced that Jermaine Johnson has joined the Lexington office as an intervention specialist.
Born on the Fourth of July, Mr. Johnson is originally from Los Angeles. He is the second-to-last child among the nine children of Joe and Cynthia Johnson.
Jermaine graduated from Winchendon prep school in Massachusetts in 2004, and went on to attend the College of Charleston on a full athletic scholarship. He graduated in 2008 with a major in communications and a minor in theater.
He was drafted to the NBA Development League in 2009, which led to a six-year professional career spanning to South America and across Europe. During his travels, he went back to school online to earn a master's degree in project management in 2014. He is currently pursuing a doctorate in organizational leadership from Northcentral University. In September of 2014, he started The New Economic Beginnings Foundation in order to help our communities.
He joins Midlands Fatherhood in the same spirit, to take advantage of "the opportunity to help save other's lives."
