Our Father's Day Barbecue

We had a great Father's Day BBQ at Palmetto Garden Park on June 14, with about 75 people in attendance.

The weather cooperated although, you won't be surprised to learn, it was a little warm. The menu consisted of hot dogs, hamburgers, salad, BBQ chicken, baked beans, wild rice, mac 'n' cheese and potato salad.

And there was plenty to do, thanks to our community partners:

  • Alignment Specialist/Atlantic Coast Physical Medicine gave free massages.
  • Increasing Hope provided instant credit counseling.
  • Tri-County Link gave away free bus passes.
  • NY Life provided free financial service advice.
  • David Aylor gave free legal advice.
  • The North Charleston Police Dept.provided free Identi-Kits.
  • Berlin donated the grill and Pepsi, Jimmy John's, Raising Canes gave supplies and monetary donations.
