
Irene Luckey, Ph.D. serves as the Director of Research, Evaluation and Program Integration for the South Carolina Center for Fathers and Families. In her position, she is responsible for conducting and overseeing all research and evaluation activities, leading the organization's efforts in performance based evaluation and reporting and disseminating outcome-based findings and promising practices relevant to the overall Fatherhood Initiative. She also manages new program integration and capacity building among the fatherhood program staff.
2009 Program Outcomes:
Through the services of the local fatherhood programs, 1,601 participants were served in 2009 (1,075 (67%) were voluntary participants and 532 (33%) were court-ordered participants).
Much works goes into supporting father and child relationships. The results are as follows:
- 715 participants participated in job readiness sessions
- 314 participants received transportation services by the program
- 397 participants gained employment
- 1,120 participants received parenting education
- 193 participants experienced improved relationship with the other parent
- 504 participants increased time spent with their child
- 262 participants received health screenings
- $746,478 was paid in child support
- $125,255 was paid in arrears
