Dr. Karry L. Guillory | Chairman

Dr. Karry L. Guillory, deputy director of community services at the South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice,  is one of the few deputies to be reappointed by the Sanford Administration. Dr. Guillory is accountable for over 800 staff members and a $65 million dollar budget that includes a statewide Detention Center, three regional evaluation centers, 20 Ph.D. level psychologists and a range of groups homes, DJJ County Offices and wilderness camps. Dr. Guillory obtained over 16 years of Senior Management experiences from five diverse colleges and universities. He was nominated by then, Governor Bill Clinton, to serve as an Ambassador to Mexico and South America through the Rotary International™ Leadership Program. He was also selected as an American Council on Education (ACE) Fellow, where he was the first ACE Fellow ever to be sponsored by a community. 

Dr. Guillory holds a doctorate in higher education management and leadership from the University of Arkansas.  He is also a graduate of Leadership South Carolina and Harvard University Leadership and Management Development Institute.

Center is awarded Duke Endowment Grant
The Duke Endowment has awarded the South Carolina Center for Fathers and Families a $600,000 grant to be given over the course of the next three years.

Center Receives $2.5 Million Grant
The South Carolina Center for Fathers and Families is slated to receive a nearly $2.5 million grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Administration for Children and Families (ACF) to promote responsible fatherhood.
